Surprised?
The "check battery" light is now on in the rental Kia. God forbid I drive a Kia that doesn't try to kill me.

All for One, One for AL
I took a Presidential Selector Survey, and it turns out the candidate most aligned with my views is Al Sharpton?

Wives, continued
What an interesting lot of candidates' wives. John Edwards wife looks like his mom. Dean's wife is THE least political wife I've ever seen, and Kerry's wife - it's clear now that she's spending her 330 million dollars on heroin. And to think they gave Jerry Brown so much crap in 1992 for being unmarried... from the looks of it, Dem wives are liabilities more than they are assets.

Congrats, Mr. Heinz
Mrs. Heinz, however, seemed coked out last night. Or is she always like that?

Primary Party
My friend Sudeep and I are throwing a NH Primary Viewing Soiree. If you are in the DFW Metroplex, please join us. I doubt if anything can top Howard Dean-channeling Tarzan-channeling Tarzan's scary wild animal friends last week, but you never know.

Nice Knowing Y'all...
After my car got unceremoniously slammed into by an idiot driver with a BAC of .212 (according to the official police report), I get a KIA for a rental. If you know about Kia's or my history with Kia's, you'll know why things aren't looking up for me.

Government of the People.. The People in Wisconsin, Anyway
Working on a story about young voter apathy... and found a study on voting patterns in the 2000 Presidential Election. (Historically, the last time E Hu voted for George W Bush.)
Notable Conclusion? "People in the Midwest are most likely to register and to vote." Why?

Notable Email Excerpt of The Day
From Ian Bartholomew, my former editor at The Taipei Times:
"With the on rush of cold weather, the admittedly limited fashion sense of Taipei residents has reached new depths of hideousness. Everyone, but everyone, seems to be wearing NT$100 parkas in industrial pink or mauve. It is just too depressing..."
